Webb Energy through Portofino Asset Corporation was part of the Management and Board of Directors that ran the Sogara refinery for 5 years in the past. The refinery was designed to “top” mandji crude as well as supply distillates to the Gabonese market and export naphtha and fuel oil. In the early days, Elf Gabon built 80,000 cubic meters fuel storage units at Cap Lopez 5 km from Port Gentil at the crude export terminal.
